Planting is what makes a built yard feel like it was always there. We plan for the wet, the shade under big conifers and the deer, with natives, ferns and Japanese maples placed so the garden has structure in winter. Water features are recirculating and lit, so you hear them at night.
What's in the scope
- Planting plans for shade, slope and deer
- Native and Northwest-adapted plants
- Japanese maples and specimen trees placed for night lighting
- Recirculating fountains, runnels and basins
- Drip irrigation on a smart controller
- First-year care so the planting establishes
Questions people ask
Will it survive a dry August?
Drip irrigation on a smart controller waters roots, not leaves, and skips rainy weeks. Natives need less once they are established.
Can you work around our big trees?
Yes. We protect root zones during construction and choose plants that like dry shade.
Do fountains attract mosquitoes?
Moving water does not hold larvae. Ours recirculate and have a basin you can clean.
